As promised, Samsung has unveiled its newest M series smartphone in India - the Galaxy M55 5G. The device boasts a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, identical to its predecessor. However, the key upgrade is the replacement of the Exynos 1380 in the M54 with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.
The phone is equipped with up to 8GB of RAM and has a 50MP rear camera with 1.5˚ OIS and VDIS. It also includes an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 50MP front camera.
The phone runs on Android 14 with One UI 6. The company has committed to provide four generations of Android updates and five years of security updates for this device. For the first time in the M series, it features Samsung Knox Vault, a unique hardware-based security solution that is resistant to tampering.
The device has an in-display fingerprint scanner and is equipped with a 5000mAh battery. It introduces 45W fast charging for the first time in the M series. However, the charger is not included in the package.

The Samsung Galaxy M55 is available in two colours: Denim Black and Light Green. The pricing structure is as follows: the 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 26,999, the 8GB + 256GB variant at Rs. 29,999, and the 12GB + 256GB model is available for Rs. 32,999.
